A Thompson's Station address outside town limits

The town's wastewater system serves only these subdivisions: Allenwood, Avenue Downs, Bridgemore Village, Fields of Canterbury, Littlebury, Tollgate Village and Whistle Stop. Everywhere else, sewer comes from another provider or the house uses septic. Ask the seller which, and for septic, ask for the permit and pumping records.
The town's wastewater department runs a regional facility with irrigation fields, where treated effluent is applied to land, and lists upgrades to that facility among its current projects. If you're buying in a new section of a sewered subdivision, ask the builder whether its connections are already approved.

The area was called White House in the early 1830s and Littlebury from 1836, after postmaster Littleberry Starks. The original depot came down in the 1950s, and a new one was built in 1996.

|---|---|---|
| Zillow typical value | $728,431 | $834,285 |
| 2026 combined rate | $1.403 | $1.64 |
| Tax on the typical home | $2,555 | $3,421 |

Thompson's Station vs Nolensville on cost and commute
Thompson's Station is about $106,000 cheaper on the typical home and about $866 a year lower in tax. Nolensville is about 15 miles closer to downtown Nashville. So the job decides it: Franklin or south, Thompson's Station; Nashville or Brentwood, Nolensville. The Williamson County town comparison covers all nine, and Bill can tour both on video before you fly in.
If you're hybrid and only drive in two or three days a week, the $866 a year in tax and $106,000 in price can outweigh the extra Nashville miles. If you're in the office every day downtown, Nolensville's 15-mile head start can matter more than the savings.
